Waking up on a Bad day

Come with me on a journey of discovery and learn why waking up is the hardest part of my day. Waking up starts with the feeling that you are stuffed with the world’s heaviest cotton. All your muscles are stiff and sluggish. Your eyes feel crinkly and tired before you even open them. Sitting upright is out of the question for the moment as you need to consciously and deliberately stretch out each muscle group to regain mobility. After the initial stretch is done you must take a minute or two to allow your body to recover from the onset of movement. Now you can sit upright and enter the second stage of stretching focused on joint movement. Be careful, if you have been an active sleeper or slept badly you may end up straining your muscles during these movements or triggering a spasm. Always stretch out the muscles around joints slowly and carefully. After you have stretched wait another few minutes to ensure there is no dizziness and your muscles can return to neutral positions. Enter the final stage: Standing up. No matter what you do this is always the hardest part you stand and it immediately feels like gravity has increased on you by two-fold, you often feel slightly dizzy and slow for a few seconds. Once the dizzy/slow feeling has passed you take a few steps around the bed with a hand on the wall as you walk the feeling of gravity slowly decreases. It is now time for the final stretch focused on neck, shoulders, hips, and legs. You must stretch slowly but firmly gently twisting to ensure maximum muscle coverage. It will never feel like you have adequately stretched so you have to restrict each stretching motion to no more than 10 seconds to avoid strains and spasms. You are now awake and ready to start your day as an average 30 year old.
